I love going to the beach in winter.
The sticky hot summer heat, replaced by a fresh sea breeze that makes you want to drink the salty air and let it whip your hair around in tangles. During the past school holidays we decided to take advantage of a sunny day in July and took a quick trip to Blouberg beach with the kiddos and some friends. I love how the kids started off with most of their clothes on, yet despite the freezing temperature, had their “bottoms” and boots off after a few minutes – the lure of jumping into the crystal water just too much for those little busy bodies to resist.

Please tell me what kind of body and lens did you used at this session? Do you spend lot of time on photoshop? Your pictures are so natural, i wish i could make this kind of photos.
Thanks so much for the compliment Magda! I used the Canon 5D mkiii at this shoot with a 24-70 lens. I don’t use photoshop, I edit all my photos in Lightroom 4. Some editing sessions take longer than others – because this was a “personal” photoshoot, I didn’t spend too much time in editing. Take care!
